Kaup beach is barely 12 kilometres to the South of Udupi. One such alluring beach is the Kaup beach. Coastal Karnataka is full of beautiful beaches, known for its crisp, long and clean coastline. This pristine beach is well kept and the greenery that surrounds the place is a feast for your eyes. The gentle fragrance of the encompassing flora teamed with crashing sound of waves truly alleviates all tiredness. Kapu’s long sandy beaches offer a panoramic view of the Arabian Sea. Kaup beach is rougher compared to Malpe beach. The rocks on the coastline act as barriers to the fierce waves which comes in powerfully. The main attraction of Kaup beach is the century-old 130 ft. lighthouse that is situated on the shore. This Light House is now more than a hundred years old. It is open for visitors during the evening hours. It offers one of the most resplendent panoramic view of the sea into the horizon.
How to Reach:
Since it is one of the famous beaches near Udupi, there are a lot of options to reach there. Bus services are ample and on can simply board a bus from Udupi bus depot to Kaup. The beach is around 1.5 kilometres from Kaup bus depot. One can easily walk down to the beach or hire an auto-rickshaw from there.
