Belkal Theertha Falls is located in verdant forest surrounding of Mookambika Wildlife Sanctuary, and a distance of 50 km from Kundapura near mudoor in North-East side of Udupi district of Karnataka state. It is also known by name Govinda Theertha. As its name implies “Theertha” means “Holy Water”. Located deep in Western Ghat, Belkal Theertha’s water falls from a mountain named Korshi Betta.
The water falls from a height of 300 ft in Belkal Theertha. This mountain is an extension of Kodachadri. The Belkal Theertha is surrounded by a lush green environment that awes anyone with its luxuriant natural beauty.

Best Time to Visit:
During four months of the year between February-May, the water of Belkal Theertha completely dries off. So make sure that you except these months from your tourist plans to the waterfalls.
How to Reach:
By Road:
Take NH-17 to go towards the Kundapura-Kollur Road. After reaching mudoor through Kundapura- Kollur Road, one needs to travel 3 km in order to reach mudoor Belkal village. From this village, it takes about 2 hours to reach Belkal Theertha.
By Rail:
The nearest railway station is Kundapura.
By Air:
The nearest airport is Mangalore International Airport.
